What is a Blue Dog Democrat

Blue Dog Democrats are “fiscal conservative” democrats. They range from moderate to progressive on many social and immigration issues but are suppose to unite on fiscal conservatism and accountability, budgetary matters and pro-business issues.

Make no doubt that these are progressives at their core and ultimately would be party loyalist to the Democrat Party. BUT, with the steam roll approach of the current administration and speaker of the house Nancy they, the Blue Dogs, are seeking relevance. This is what makes them important in today’s political environment. In addition many of these Blue Dogs come from Red States where they find their constituents disappointed with the “change” and even less about the “hope”. This was most apparent with the recent votes on cap-n-trade where many of these coalition of 50 sided with their party and then found a chilling reception when they came home to their voters.

These Blue Dogs are more vulnerable now than ever. They are scared and they want significance again. These 2 factors may allow us to use them to the betterment of the people to vote the “right” way. When ultimately given the choice between an anger President and an anger voter a politician will side with who can vote them back into office. For a politician when given the opportunity to have no relevancy and being a significant player that is fawned over for their vote it is no question which way their ego will take them.

We need to use them and push them to keep doing the right things for the nation and for their careers. Call and write and continue to let them know that we need fiscal conservatism. Hold them accountable and remind them that we surround them. We have 2 powerful weapons our founding fathers provided us. We can keep riding those that are in office and replace those that do not do their jobs. Let the Blue Dogs know that we will work with them when they work for us but we will be a formative adversary when they work against the will of the people.

KY We Surround Them Snake

The rattlesnake has been a symbol of rebellion against oppressive government and an American emblem of pride since 1751. One of the first political cartoons, penned by Benjamin Franklin during the French and Indian war, was of a snake cut into eight pieces. Each piece was to represent a colony with the motto below “Join or Die” which became the symbol of the importance of unity among the colonies.

During the American Revolution there came an influential symbol of revolt first known as the Gadsden Flag. It displayed a coiled up rattlesnake on a bright yellow field with the simple but powerful motto “Don’t Tread on Me”! The image was meant as a warning that America will attack if provoked. Using the image was to demonstrate the resolve and resolute spirit of Americans and the real threat to any that does not heed its warning.

This was perceived because of the nature of the indigenes North American rattlesnake. These snakes will sit in a coiled position and first offer a warning with a loud rattling noise when they feel threatened. Unless they are further provoked or stepped on they will not attack. They were also known though to be truly dangerous animals then once enticed and should be feared. This in essence was the original “Fear This” symbol that lived on for generations of patriots against overreaching government.

Once again we find ourselves at the necessity to rise up against an oppressive government that no longer fears the will of the people. In many ways we are at the same place Christopher Gadsden was when he said don’t tread on me. Unfortunately the time for warning may be behind us. Sadly I fear that even tough many of us may be just now coming to this cause, this new revolution has been raging for decades against the common person. We the people have been constantly provoked, stepped on, and liberties treaded upon and we are just now rising up to strike back.

We will not be ignored any longer. For this reason our snake can no longer be coiled in a defensive posture. Warnings have been disregarded and now we are ready to fight. When the rattlesnake attacks it is known to be unrelenting and will never surrender. They will see our resolve again and feel our teeth and toxic venom. We stand proud in front of the Common Wealth protecting her from its enemy and supporting its sovereignty. We are fully ready to strike now no longer only providing warnings but becoming active in taking back our country. This is our symbol that we are united. This is our emblem that we have been provoked. This is our cry to our enemies to not only “Fear This” but “Feel This”!!!!

Walk to Free Our Health Care


A very special thanks to Cincinnati Ohio 9/12ers. And from around this great nation, Pennsylvania, Florida, Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Washington State, New Jersey, Tennessee, North Carolina, Indiana, Arizona, Utah, and any other states that I did not here from but participated in this event.

Thank you all for organizing in your areas and working together to get the message out against socialized health care. Click here for copy of the flyer. As a combined effort over these past 2 weekends we have all visited an estimated 70,000 to 80,000 homes combined and made a true impact in our fight to defeat this bad legislation. This door to door effort will have the effect of an additional estimated 2,500 – 4,000 phone calls or letters to our representatives based on averages. In addition we have provided the tools of truth to thousands and thousands that will tell their friends and co-workers. With your help we have planted the seeds that can grow and stop Congress and the Senate.

We can not let up and now is not the time to rest. We did a big service getting the message out that the evening news or the White House does not want heard. BUT the bill is far from dead yet!! We all need to keep this momentum going from this past weekend and mobilize everyone to make phone calls and pressure your representative and any other that may be on the fence to vote against Government run Health Care. Obamacare & Unalienable Rights

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. - Congress, July 4 ,1776

Have you seen the proposed health care bill by the Democrats? It's a paltry 1,018 pages. Just light reading if you've got nothing else to do, however, this should be mandatory reading for every elected official who's required to vote on it! And if any elected official worth his or her weight in salt would actually read the thing, there's no way they could vote for it - not if they're a REAL American who believes in the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence.

You don't even need to get past page 16 of the Bill to find out that owning private health care will be outlawed. Oh, there's that grandfather clause, which states that you can keep your current health care if you like it. I think that's what Nobama was referring to when he said on the ABC Informercial and elsewhere that "you can keep your current plan if you want to." Sure! Great! But if a person changes jobs or wants to change insurance after the Govt. plan goes into effect, then you're up a creek without a paddle. There will be NO CHOICE in the matter. Well, that sounds American, doesn't it?

And once the Govt. plan becomes law, then there's no way to actually purchase private insurance. It will be outlawed. How's that for the American way. It's like the old days where when choosing the color of your phone you had a choice - as long as it was the color black. Likewise, we'll have a choice - The Govt. plan. So, where's the 'Liberty' part of the Declaration here? It's being stripped away!

And how about paying for abortions with public funding? This puts salt in an already festering wound for the American people. As America grows increasingly against abortion the Govt. under Nobama in Obamaland increases funding for abortions. Most reasonable people know that babies come from mommies' tummies. Ask any child about the 'lump' in pregnant woman's stomach and they'll tell you that there's a baby in there. Gee, if children get it why can't the elected officials get it? Nevertheless, they're in charge and we have to deal with them like the little children they are! Do you really want to fund abortions for people who make the choice to have sex but then don't want to take responsibility for their actions? And to make matters worse, we the American tax payer are paying for murder. So, where's the 'Life' part of the Declaration here? It's being stripped away!

And what about the rationing and denying of health measures that can lead to a better quality and quantity of life? Sure, under the Govt. plan Nobama and Pelosi have promised the American people that these sorts of things will not come to pass; that what we're hearing from Canada and Europe (people being denied cancer treatments that can save lives; nine month waiting lists for arthritis medicine; months waiting periods for maternity beds, and the list goes on) will never happen here. Can we believe them? Weren't we promised that the after the massive Stimulus package was passed that unemployment would not exceed 8%? Where are we now? Over 9% and still growing. And now the Govt. is talking about yet ANOTHER Stimulus plan because the other one wasn't big enough.

How will all this bigger government and increased spending get paid for? You guessed it - increased taxes on the very people who provide the jobs we need; small business and the wealthy. Obamacare will be a HUGE detriment to the growth of the economy and will most likely be the death knell for the America we know and love. So, where's the 'pursuit of Happiness' part of the Declaration? It's being stripped away!

The Silent Majority can be Silent No More! Obamacare goes against the Declaration of Independece on the most basic levels. Let's get out of our comfort zones. Call your congressional representatives. Call your senators. Tell them to read the bill COMPLETELY before voting on it or DON'T VOTE FOR IT! That's just common sense. Tell them and remind them that they work for you - you're the one they're supposed to represent and not their own interests or the interests of lobbyists. Call, write and visit their local offices if they have one. You're not pestering them. You're doing your duty to protect America. But time is running out! Pelosi and Reid want Obamacare passed before their August recess. That's only WEEKS away.

Let common sense prevail and exercise our American rights. Be silent no more!

Hello America,

Here it is, another Fourth of July. Traditionally, this is a day to gather with friends, maybe fire up the barbeque and play with kids until the sun sets and the fireworks start. But in thinking back on the meaning behind this day, we must never forget that our nation was baptized in the blaze of a very different kind of "fireworks." Yes, this is a day of rest and relaxation, as well it should be, but this year…I'd like to ask you a favor. At some point during the day, I hope you'll take time to think and reflect on what it is we're truly celebrating on the 4th of July -- our Independence Day. Of course the Declaration of Independence was signed on July 4th, 1776 but it's so much more than that. On this day, 233 short years ago, a small group of men dedicated themselves to a higher purpose, an ideal they believed in so greatly, they signed their name to its expression and in doing so put their very lives at risk.

Never has a simple act of signing one's name carried such weight, such a profound commitment. By signing the Declaration of Independence, 56 men stood in direct defiance of the British government. They became marked men, and willingly so. As I was doing some research on the significance of July 4th, I came across some interesting facts about these men. Today as we all enjoy the freedom our forefathers guaranteed us, join me in honoring the extraordinary sacrifice of 56 extraordinary Americans.

Of the 56 men who signed the Declaration of Independence:

Five were captured by the British as traitors, and tortured before they died. Twelve had their homes burned to the ground. Two lost sons serving in the Revolutionary Army, and two more had sons captured. Nine fought and died in the Revolutionary War.
If you ever feel like your lone voice can never be heard, that the political system isn't set up for "regular" Americans to change the course of history, remember: The signers were flesh and blood, mortal men with a divinely-inspired aim.

Twenty-four were lawyers and jurists, eleven were merchants, and nine were farmers and large plantation owners. They were well educated, smart enough to know that by signing the Declaration of Independence, they were signing their own death warrants. They did it anyway, and God bless them for it.

As we enjoy our liberty on this 4th of July, or any day of any month, we must never take that liberty for granted. Too many have given too much. In the words of the Signers themselves, "For the support of this declaration, with firm reliance on the protection of the divine providence, we mutually pledge to each other, our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor."

Their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor -- I think that's a price paid worth a few minutes of reflection, don't you? But let's not be solemn in that reflection. I say rejoice and share this information with your friends and family, especially your kids. The Signers asked for nothing in return for their pledge, but I say that we show our thanks with a pledge of our own: To remember, to be grateful, and to carry on in their spirit. America is the greatest country this world has ever and will ever know, and it will stay that way so long as "we the people" remember that just like in 1776.

It's US that surrounds them, and we'll never back down.
