Constitution and our Responsibility

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion: So help me God.

The original intent of our Constitution is no longer being preserved, protected or supported by many of our elected officials.

The best way to protect ourselves is to understand our history. We must remember who we are, we will be the key…

State Sovereignty Resolution update

The time has come for us to take action on our State Sovereignty! It has become apparent that the majority of our legislators are not listening; especially the House Elections Committee and its chair Darryl Owens. Phone calls, e-mails, and personal visits have not swayed him to give HCR 10 (State Sovereignty Resolutions) or HB 87 (The Kentucky Firearms Freedom Act) a hearing.

So the time has come for us to take action into our own hands. We must in mass numbers go down to Frankfort and be in that committee on the same day with everyone wearing our pride for our Commonwealth, the Constitution (specifically the 10th Amendment) and our Rights, our Right to be heard!

March 9th at 7:30 AM, we all meet in the Annex Cafeteria where 10th Amendment and Firearms Freedom Act buttons will be handed out to us (they do this at the Capitol a lot) to show support for our bill. Once we have organized ourselves we all go to the committee room and make our presence known and sign up to testify...even if it's not on the agenda (I doubt it will be) and inform them on the 10th Amendment and the Firearms Freedom Act and demand, as it is our right as Citizens, that these bills and resolutions be heard and voted on in committee the next time it meets.

Kentucky Coal and EPA

By Randy Walters:

On Wednesday, February 10th the Senate Committee on Natural Resources and Energy held a hearing in Frankfort. At that hearing this writer and Joey Lewis of Delta Testing in Hyden testified to the committee that the United States EPA was forcing unrealistic water standards on the coal industry. The issue at hand is the Mayfly and water conductivity. The EPA wants all discharged water from mining to be at or below 500 micro ohms per centimeter (electrical current the water will conduct). There is no accepted standard for this level, just the EPA citing a study that itself admits is not conclusive.

At first we thought it was only the coal industry, but we soon learned it would be the entire state, and any entity that discharges water. This takes in sewage plants, the aluminum industry, the stainless steel industry, the car industry, and on and on. The University of California, Davis, reports that a small sewage plant discharges water at a level of 900-1400 micro ohms per centimeter. This means that all the sewage plants in Kentucky, and eventually the nation, will have to be outfitted with new equipment at a tremendous cost, and it still might not be enough to satisfy the EPA. The testimony given by myself and Joey Lewis was confirmed by the Commissioner of Kentucky's Department of Environmental Protection, and was even made worse as he explained the EPA was really shooting for a level of 300 micro ohms per centimeter. He also told us that the EPA had informed him they had been waiting eight years to do this.

There are currently 49 Kentucky Mining Permits on hold as a result of the EPA forcing the Kentucky Division of Water to enforce these arbitrary and capricious standards. We cannot afford to allow the EPA and the liberal Obama Administration to run business out of Kentucky while putting limits on our infrastructure's ability to function Senator Brandon Smith is now threatening to file suit against the EPA on behalf of the committee.

Attend the Restore America Rally at the capital in Frankfort on February 20th at noon. The Mayflower Compact brought us America, the Mayfly Compact can only bring us Maggots and more federal government. Come to think of it, they are both the same.

Celebrate nothing, yet!

By Randy Walters

To celebrate Scott Brown’s win in Massachusetts would be stupid. All his victory amounts to is a stay of execution for working Americans. Had he not been elected under the promise of holding up Obamacare we would all be in trouble. To celebrate the win and think everything is ok, and that the Republicans are going to save this country is ludicrous. The Republicans and the Democrats are so much alike in Washington you have to have a program to tell the difference.

Americans have been fooled by the labels. If you think one party could have caused all the mess we are in at this time, you are giving either of them too much credit. It took both of them to reach the extremes we are now facing with the deficit and the job crisis. America bleeds jobs, and the party that is supposed to be “For the people” does nothing to slow the bleeding. This is not to say the Republicans are any better as it was a Republican (Bush 41) who first proposed the deal.

Our nation needs officials of character. We have long since dealt with the other type and we are paying for it everyday. We have no respect in the world view because of the people we freely elect. Were we being herded to the polls with guns pointed at our heads it would be understandable that we voted for such criminals, but we weren’t. The solution to the problems we face today can be found in the words of the founding fathers of our nation. No, not Jefferson, Washington, Adams, or any of their counterparts, but the real founding fathers, Mathew, Mark, Luke, John, and their counterparts. After all, that’s where the crafters of our Constitution got their inspiration.

It will take much more than a political change in order to make a difference in America. It will take a complete change in the character of the men and women we send to represent our nation and guard over its safety and prosperity. Scott Brown was only a signal that change is needed. It’s now time to set forth a path that will assure the change we need.

On Saturday, February 20th in Frankfort it will be our duty to show the legislature of Kentucky and the rest of the nation that Kentuckians know what is best for Kentucky, not politicians. It is also be our time to tell the nation that the environmentalists do not control Kentucky, nor does the EPA. We will mine our coal and our people will work to support our families.

The rally to Restore America is not the solution, but it is a good place to start. It gets underway at noon with much on the agenda, much that can be solved through simple and basic actions. We can restore America, but we have to do it together. Please be there to help us get started.
