Rand Paul and Trey Grayson Senate Debate

We are still excited that the KY 9/12 Project had this historic opportunity of hosting a wonderful interview style debate between Dr Rand Paul and Secretary of State Trey Grayson. This truly was the perfect format and it really great day and event. All questions were submitted by 9/12 members and were absolutely amazing. This was a great format and gave real insight to both candidates. We were privileged to have the voice of conservatives here in Lexington WLAP’s Leland Conway as our moderator and did an awesome job holding the candidates feet to the fire. Please take time a review and remember get out and vote May 18th.

Cap, trade, Tax, and Coal

By Randy Walters and Jeff Smith
http://coalfedfamilies.com/

Once again the politicians want more tax money to squander. This time it’s Cap and Trade legislation as is being supported by Republican Senator Lindsay Graham of South Carolina.

In the name of “Climate Change” they want to tax the industries of the nation who produce energy by using coal, or any industry that emits carbon. A tax of this type will stifle economic growth, allow some to profit from the sale of unused carbon credits, and punish everyone with higher prices on everything and all this during what might be the greatest economic decline since the Great Depression!.

Any product produced by the use of electricity will cost more, and that is everything. Everything from heat and air for our homes to the food we buy will cost substantially more. The truth of business is that corporations pass cost increases along to the customers, and this will be no different. Businesses have to pass along the costs or they die and we have no jobs. It is the private sector that creates the jobs, not the government.

As a result of Al Gore and the environmental movement, Obama’s EPA, and our totally ignorant congress our quality of life will be diminished under the false claim of “Saving the environment.” Americans will be faced with choices. Electric bills will soar to the point that some will have to choose between having the heat on, and being able to afford food or medicine. All of us will see the quality or our lives diminished, and all in the name of a propaganda movement called man-made global warming.

In the coalfields the work will slow down, but the cost of living will increase. Our families here will suffer. Those who mine coal will mine less, if they mine at all, and those who depend on the coal miners and truck drivers to buy things will have much fewer customers.

Cap and Trade is another of Obama’s socialist ideas designed to enslave the American people. He, and the rest of the politicians have spent us into tremendous debt, and like addicts, they want more. Their addiction will transform America into a third world wasteland both politically and environmentally “correct”.

Illegal Immigration Arizona BUYcott

Arizona 9/12 Project and Phoenix Tea Party needs our assistance to stand with them!!

This is not about race. They can try as they will to paint us as xenophobes or racist. They can attempt to slander and create hysteria. But we will stand with Arizona!!

We can care less if you are African-Americans, Hispanic-Americans, or White-Americans. We don’t give a flip about hyphens and forget about indent politics. We ask people to come together as United-Americans.

This is about safety, security, and the rule of law. The Constitution mandates to protect its citizens against threats. Our boarders are being over run, crime and kidnappings are on a rise in boarder states, our national and fiscal security is at risk from illegal immigration problems, BUT the federal government has done nothing to uphold its responsibilities. George Bush dropped the ball on this and Obama can’t even find the ball to play with it. Arizona as a sovereign state decided to stop waiting on the Fed and has done what they needed to do to protect itself.

As a result they have been attacked by the drive by media, liberal watch dogs, and the White House Administration. Cities are organizing boycotts against AZ and truly Astroturfed protests are being organized.

Help us push back and support Arizona. Sign the petition and join a “BUYcott”.

This is about State Sovereignty, this is about the equal not social justice, and this is about protecting our great Nation. Help them fight and stand arm and arm and support their cause as United-Americans.

FAITH, hope, and charity

Faith: Samuel Adams felt America was put together by divine providence — all the founding Fathers did. They relied on it. God played an instrumental role; He was the one we had to have faith in. George Washington said: "It is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor."

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1)

What we do see troubles each of us to our souls everyday, and our hope continues to be strained daily by events of today. But let not your heart be troubled. Humble yourself to implore His protection and favor. Our hope is not in what we are seeing but what is yet to be done. Our faith is not in what we are doing but what Christ has done.

Humble yourself and seek Him in prayer. Our country was put together and its future is by divine providence. God is not only an instrumental role but the substance of all things hoped for.

I have often said that if I was omnipotent (having all power to change anything) I would change everything; but if I had omniscience (all knowing) I would not change a single thing…

NOW is the time to not only come together but kneel together to acknowledge His providence, be grateful for His benefits, and humble ourselves and ask for His protection and guidance.

Please join us Every Monday at Cane Run Baptist Church for a 9/12 Prayer Meeting or start one in your area or home.

“We're not tired. We're going to keep on fighting this thing. We know that they seek to fundamentally transform America. We will fight it with everything in us — not with bullets, not with guns, but with faith, hope and charity.” – Glenn Beck

faith, HOPE, and charity

Hope: George Washington had a trust in this country and its men that we would defend its rights and liberties. This country was built and the founding fathers strongly believed in personal responsibility. We The People was a hope for a better nation.

If Faith is based on a belief that no matter the outcome it is for the better, then hope is the uncertainty but desire or confident expectation for a specific outcome. If Faith was the foundation for the founding Fathers and this nation, then hope was the building blocks and actions that were applied to that foundation.

There was never (and still) no guarantee of success. We have heard the phrase “great American experiment”. But we know that with the chance of failure there is a much greater HOPE of victory! Hope has accomplished great things in this country, hope has conquered this nations biggest problems, hope is what caused people to give their lives for future generations liberties, hope is what brought millions of people to this country for a better life. Hope is what makes dreams possible and America survive.

"The General hopes and trusts that every officer and man will endeavor to live and act as becomes a Christian soldier defending the dearest rights and liberties of his country." George Washington

Soldiers; we must defend our liberties and fight together for this nations fundamental rights. We have a hope for our children and grandchildren that we see being challenged and threatened. With faith as our foundation, hope as our expectation, unity and truth will be our sword.

PLEASE come together in homes and communities and meet together. Educate yourselves and seek truth. We need each other more than ever before, you can no longer keep to yourselves and give up hope. Never let hope die and act as a single voice and become Christian soldiers defending the dearest rights and liberties of this country.

Take time and find a local meeting in your area or meet with others on your own in your community. Meet Locally

“If you lose hope, somehow you lose the vitality that keeps life moving, you lose that courage to be, that quality that helps you go on in spite of it all. And so today I still have a dream.” ~Martin Luther King, Jr.

“We're not tired. We're going to keep on fighting this thing. We know that they seek to fundamentally transform America. We will fight it with everything in us — not with bullets, not with guns, but with faith, hope and charity.” – Glenn Beck

faith, hope, and CHARITY

Charity: “But now we still have faith, hope, love, these three; and the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13 (English Standard). The greatest of these is Charity. Faith is our foundation, hope is the building blocks, but it is charity is the mortar and substances that binds this nation together. Remember that day after September 11, 2001 when we were not separated by partisan politics. The day after 9/11 when we were all 9/12ers united as Americans. For a least a day there was not red states or blue states, Democrats or Republicans, African-Americans, Hispanic-Americans. We stripped away the hyphens and forgot indent politics and came together. Where is that country, where is that love and unity with your neighbor. We must restore daily not only our faith and hope but charity and love.

It is imperative that we come together and meet with like minded people and it is easy to find love and tolerance for other 9/12ers and your friends. But have you shown charity to an opponent or forgiveness for an enemy? Love wants the best for your children and family and the people closest to you, unconditional love wants the best for all people. Charity looks beyond the color of someone’s skin to the character of the person and finds unity in faith and hope. We are Americans together, charity and love does not stop with a person’s political persuasion or candidates they support.

Local meetings and tea parties are great and we love coming together with brothers and sisters. We have many great church members but what we need now more than ever is some missionaries. What we need is charity towards the people not yet in our fold. Everyone needs to begin reaching out to your neighbors, co-workers, and strangers. We do not want to leave anybody behind. We need to start communicating to people we may feel have different political views as us. This is about Liberty and principles and this is about love that binds us. This is about getting everybody on board the boat standing arm and arm.

Begin shouting from the rooftops and start wakening up the unlikely. Get the message out by any means. Start your own blog and let us know so we can link to it, send out messages on Facebook, twitter, or just talk with someone. Invite everyone you meet out to the next 9/12 meeting or to become a member. Charity is not always monetary but a message of hope and respect to all men.

“The best thing to give to your enemy is forgiveness; to an opponent, tolerance; to a friend, your heart; to your child, a good example; to a father, deference; to your mother, conduct that will make her proud of you; to yourself, respect; to all men, charity.” – Benjamin Franklin

Keep preparing your lifeboats, keep praying and have faith, keep hope strong and working towards restoring principles and values, but remember the greatest of these is charity. If our nation’s ship continues sinking there will be a time when many that have been opposing you will begin to come over and look for direction. Please do this one thing alone; welcome them. Charity not only says forgiveness but has a true desire to say welcome. Not I told you so or you were wrong but welcome here is an oar and start paddling.

“We're not tired. We're going to keep on fighting this thing. We know that they seek to fundamentally transform America. We will fight it with everything in us — not with bullets, not with guns, but with faith, hope and charity.” – Glenn Beck

Earth Day is this Thursday, what do you have planned?

Think about it some of the holidays we come out for now to make a showing; ‘Tax Day” and now “Earth Day”. FYI Loyalty Day is May 1st if anyone is interested.

Thursday April 22 is Earth Day and what better opportunity is there to tell the greenies to leave us alone. We believe in being good stewards of the environment - but the ridiculous EPA regulations, Cap and Trade and other big government interference in our lives has got to stop. We'll be expressing our disbelief in man made global warming with some fun in the sun! If you have any plans in your area for this day please let us and everyone know. Lets get out and celebrate “Earth” by remembering its creator (which is not us) and come together and just have some fun.

If there is anyone in the Lexington area we are encouraging you to join 630 WLAP and the voice of conservatives in central Kentucky, on air personality, Leland Conway. Meet at Clear Channel radio station at 2601 Nicholasville Road at 11:00 am on Thursday April 22nd (Earth Day.) We'll drive around New Circle Road once for no apparent reason. Then on to Shelter 4 at Shillito Park for hamburgers! Free as long as they last - but with the 9/12ers and Big Daddy Collins coming who knows how long that will be!!!!

Come out or have your own cookout where you live. Happy Earth Day

Senate Debate - Rand paul and Trey Grayson

We have had overwhelming response. In the first 2 weeks alone we had hundreds of questions submitted, filled close to 250 seats, and had more than what we needed step up and offer to help out the day of the event.

As far as the seating thankfully we have discovered that there will be more seats available and we have the opportunity to open up the balcony seating as well which in total gives us an additional 200 seats for anyone wanting to come out next Saturday April 24th. Let everyone know seats still available here:

Events

Our main concern now is we will have some expenses that we will need everyone’s help on. There will be a small fee for the venue, janitorial expense, AV person, and some equipment and promotion expenses. All of this of course adds up quick and anything you can do to contribute would help offset those cost. Please consider a small contribution to help make sure this event is a success and that Jim & Rita do not have to pick up all the expenses. Follow the link below ~ Thank You

Media Blackout (ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, & MSNBC)

I truly believe as Thomas Jefferson said we are the authors of the press. We pay with our time, money, and for to long accepted slander. I believe as well to paraphrase that with an impotent press we will not have an informed or potent republic.

It is our job to hold the press accountably. We are the authors and viewers of the media. Let’s take it back!!! Tune out the network News the second week of May from May 10th through May 16th.

6th District US Congressional candidate debate

I have been negligent on emphasizing the importance this year of the two US Congressional races (3rd District & 6th District). Unfortunately our states Senate race has garnered much more of everyone’s attention and candidates in these district primaries have had to fight for name recognition.

PLEASE take time and not only learn who is running but meet, talk to, support, contribute, and get active in these congressional races. We must change the balance of power in the house and we will need 40 seats to accomplish this. Both of these districts would be flips and are both critical to the future of our nation.

HERE IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY IN THE 6TH DISTRICT. Do not miss this one!!!

It is critical you come out and meet and see the candidates before the primary on May 18th. This will be your perfect opportunity to hear the candidates and see them face off in this fair and equitable debate format. The debate is being held, free of charge, in order to give voters a better sense of who the candidates are and where they stand. The debate will be moderated by Ryan Alessi which use to be with the Herald Leader but will soon heading up the new news network on Insight Communication. It is being hosted by the Georgetown KY 9/12 Project, the Scott Co. Republican Party, Scott Co. Republican Women’s' Club, Scott Co. Young Republicans and the Georgetown College Republicans. Supported by the KY 9/12 Project and open to all members.

Now is more important than ever. We will no longer be bystanders. This vote May 18th is one of the most important things you do to start taking back our state and country. Your educated decision is one of the most important responsibilities you have. See you there…..

Date: Tuesday, April 20
Time: 6:00pm – 8:00pm
Place: Thomas & King Conference Center at Georgetown College , 100 Crawford Drive , Georgetown

Media Blackout May 2010

KY9/12 joins the Nationwide Media Blackout!!!!!
May 10th – May 16th 2010

The media continues to portray ordinary concerned citizens as extremists, as racists, and as hostiles on the verge of violence. It has become apparent that what was once the people's watchdog - the network television media - is no longer just biased, but corrupt. They must be held accountable.

Our response is simple.

For one week in May let’s tune out the network news and not watch or support the liberal media. Traditionally, May is considered a ratings month for TV networks. For their “sweeps” week let’s stop watching and show them we will no longer except media corruption as usual!

Instead of just complaining about the news, let your families and neighbors know we can do something about it. For the week of May 1oth through May 16th we are asking you not to watch any news programs offered by NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, and MSNBC. If you are contacted by the Nielsen Company concerning rating surveys by all means participate but please watch and report responsibly and tune out the Network news. Together they will get the message loud and clear or face an audience of zero.

Join us as we take part in this nationwide campaign as we create a MEDIA BLACKOUT!

US Senatorial candidate debate Rand Paul and Trey Grayson

We need your immediate input. The 9/12 project will be hosting a historic US Senatorial candidate debate April 24 from 11:15am – 1:15pm. We are very excited to do a type of Rick Warren interview style debate. This will be approximately an 80 minute interview format debate split into 2 separate 40 minute sections. The moderator will be Leland Conway who will ask OUR questions and hold the candidates feet to the fire.

Here is what we will need; all questions will be submitted by 9/12 members and narrowed down to the same top 10 questions that each candidate will receive. We need your questions ASAP. Please submit any question that you would like to have the Senatorial candidate answer. It needs to be broad enough to ask both candidates (can not be specific to either), please include your name and contact information. Please submit to events@ky912.com before April 16th.

We will need additional volunteers the day of the event if anyone is available. Please let us know
