Next Step Foreword

The Kentucky 9/12 Project has recently organized as a not-for-profit social welfare organization under section 501(c)4 of the IRS code. While our purchases may not be tax-exempt and donations made to us may not be tax-deductible, it is still a not-for-profit status that carries a lot less regulations making it perfect for social movements like ours. And we know if people are going to donate to the group, it will not be out of desire for an IRS deduction but because they believe in the mission and want to help in what we are doing. We will remain non-partisan and a-political under this status, but it does still give us the liberty to advocate for issues that the group deems appropriate.

For the past two years the only reason we have made it this far is with people like you coming out to programs and supporting us through various means. Every dollar we have raised and every minute from volunteers has been utilized toward KY9/12 educational workshops, Vacation Liberty School, and other programs. Help Us Continue To Make It Happen! We are dedicated to bring like minded people together locally and providing top notch educational opportunities statewide. We have put together a full year of training, social activities, and exciting opportunities to learn and grow. The more you help, the more we can offer and help restore our Republic and pass the torch of liberty on to the next generation.

We are a 100% volunteer organization but do incur cost and need help for marketing and events. If you believe in our mission and share our vision please consider joining or helping us in any way you feel lead.

Special Event: What Would Jefferson Do?

On March 5th, the Nullify Now! tour lands in Cincinnati! Kentucky 912 is a sponsor of this event and we strongly urge you to attend. Get tickets and information online here - http://www.nullifynow.com/cincinnati/ or by calling 888-71-TICKETS

The 10th Amendment codifies in law that We the People of the several states created the federal government to be our agent for certain enumerated, or listed, powers - and nothing more.

The essential question of our day, though, is this - when the federal government violates these limits, what do we do about it? Remember the words of Thomas Jefferson who reminds us that the States are, “the most competent administrations for our domestic concerns and the surest bulwarks against antirepublican tendencies.”

So what do we do about it? Jefferson again gave us the answer. In 1798 he wrote that "whensoever" the federal government "assumes undelegated powers," that a "nullification of the act is the rightful remedy."

Notice that Jefferson didn't tell us that a nullification of the act is a "good idea" - or that we should first try federal lawsuits or wait for the next election cycle. He said, in fact, that every time Congress exercises powers not delegated to it - every time - it must be resisted on a state level. Thus, when states pass laws to reject unconstitutional federal "laws" - this is not rebellion - it's duty.

Our friends at the Tenth Amendment Center put together three great Nullify Now! tour stops in 2010 and 2011 has plenty more in store. Get involved by getting your tickets to the Cincinnati event right now - and take part of this growing movement for the Founders' Constitution today!

currently accepting donations for a silent auction

We are very excited about the many activities, events, and outreach programs we have planned this year. All of which will need resources and your support to make happen. During the month of March we will take the opportunity to highlight some of these ground breaking programs and how you can help. I believe it goes without saying that money will be critical to this group’s success as well. To help raise the precious funds needed we will be having a silent action leading up to and the day of the anniversary banquet on March 12th and need your help with items.
